Our Story
Ascentis was founded in 2024 by Vivien Vassalo, who began taking on freelance projects since 2020 to sharpen his skills as digital strategy consultant. After several years helping startups and SMEs untangle their digital challenges, he noticed a common pattern: many founders struggled to execute their ideas because of bloated agencies or unreliable freelancers. That insight sparked the creation of something more focused and reliable, a strategic tech partner built to actually get things done with agility and clarity.
The first step? Bringing together a trusted core team. In late 2024, Sankeethan Tharmathayalan and Christian Rajakoone joined as key development partners — soon followed by Nimsara Gunasekara and Joyson Christy Mohan — forming the backbone of Ascentis' offshore technical team in Sri Lanka. With shared values of quality, communication, and autonomy, they've been instrumental in delivering smart, scalable solutions ever since.
In 2025, Constantin von Wasielewski came on board to lead sales and commercial strategy. Having met Vivien years earlier during a university exchange in South Korea, they reconnected around a shared belief: that tech partnerships should be reliable, transparent, and human. Together, they're now scaling Ascentis to help more founders launch, grow, and win — without tech becoming a bottleneck.
